Hi Matt,

I just watched your Manfrotto travel tripod video and excuse me if you know this already, but something I discovered a couple of years back was that some videographers use an elastic band looped around the end of the panning handle to gently pull the camera through panning/tiliting. The elasticity provides a very smooth stop/sart to the panning motion.

Thank you for all the videos and work you share.

Kind regards,
Ed.

Plain truth - without a suitable 'pod, video becomes crappy, because NOBODY can pan smoothly without one. What I need at home, for macro shots, is an old Linhof, with zilch shake - but as you rightly point out, it's way too heavy for travel.
You video is good, sound, sensible & practical advice.
